busy... busy... too busy to blog

Whipple family update-

Elijah is 13 months old now… He is such a hand full! I always thought I would be one of those moms who let their kids explore and get dirty… sigh… my son drives me crazy! He is loud and likes to get into all the “no-no” things. He STILL isn’t walking yet, he knows how and is very capable of walking… he just chooses not to. I think if we had a bigger apartment or home he would be more inclined to walk around. He talks non-stop! He says all sorts things now… “Dada, dog, car, please (in sign language), Katie, Jacob, Chris, Dave, Stephanie, Amy, Max, cat, baba, Zeke, What’s that, numnum, nana” He is getting so big, I can’t hardly believe how fast time went!

Daniel is still working swing shift at Wal-Mart… not for much longer though! He enrolled at IOT, taking Criminology courses. He starts at the end of the month… we are both VERY excited! We only have one car….soooo…of course it is going to be crazy and stressful planning rides and who gets the car and yadda yadda yadda. He will still be working 4pm-1am… and going to school 8am 12:30pm… I will have just started my externship… so… I will be working (without pay) 9am-5:30pm…. It will be interesting! I have faith that God will work things out. It’s only a short time in our life too… Daniels school is only 9 months long… so its not it will be tough on us forever! Maybe one day Redding will rain vehicles and we will get a second car… I wouldn’t even care if it had a heater or a radio… as long as it got Daniel to school and work…

I had REALLY good intentions to write a longer, funnier blog… but I have to get back to my school work…

Much Love!

psh... it happens

I need to be studding for my final, but blogging trumps studding… sooo hear I am. I honestly don’t feel like writing anything but I also feel like I owe the world a Whipple family update.
Elijah is a whole 8months old! He is in such a hurry to be a “big boy”! He cut one little tooth… It looks so funny—but I love it! He is crawling around and constantly talking to anyone who will listen. He started saying “BaBa” about two months ago and now is saying “Dada”… which makes complete sense being as those are his favorite things in life… food and his Daddy. He is pulling himself up to stand and just this week started (slowly) cruising around while holding onto the furniture. He is incredibly social for an infant, and will put his hands up for even complete strangers to hold him. He is a horrible flirt and enjoys “showing off”.
Life is moving at an incredible speed, last year at this time I was 5 months pregnant. It feels only like a few hours ago though. Life moved horribly slow those nine months, and now I barley have time to pee. Elijah wants to be big in the worst way. Odd thing for an infant, you would think he wouldn’t care, but he is constantly trying to make himself bigger than s or other kids. He has this horrible temper fit the throws now too. He arches his back and stiffens up and just screams. He screams this blood curdling “help she is cutting off my toes” scream…and I stare in complete shock! Where did my sweet snuggly baby go? Where is that baby that hardly fussed at all? I wonder if God looks at us in the same way---when we curse at him or yell in rage?
Ramblings of an exhausted mind.
Daniel FINALLY found a job…yea! He is working at Wal-Mart.
Ummm… I am just about halfway done with school and pretty much used up all of my free brain space. I love it though. I never thought I would enjoy working the medical field… but… the stuff fascinates me!
I keep asking God to put a few more hours in the day… I just have way too much to do everyday and could use a few more hours ya know—Between working and school and mommy duties I just don’t have the time to sneeze let along do the pile of dishes, separate the clean clothes from the dirty clothes, scrub the tub, go grocery shopping and yadda yadda yadda… Mornings come too early—nap time is too short—and nigh-night is always too far away.
I just need to learn to balance full time mommy with full time student and with full time employee AND full time wife… and somehow fit in other duties like sister, daughter, friend, granddaughter AND Bridesmaid (yea for Crystinas wedding!!!) –which reminds me… I need to find someone to alter my dress!
I need sticky post-it notes for my brain
This is a boring blog so I shall end it with this
Parenting lesion I have learned—
-Don’t waste money on fancy toys that bounce, make noise or have flashy lights. In fact don’t buy any toys at all! Your kid would rather play with empty cereal boxes, water bottles, dirty sneakers and the toilet.

Ready for Awkward

Its been about fourteen years sense my last blog. Stop pestering me… I blog when I feel like it… I just haven't felt like it lately. Its not that my life hasn't been interesting. Life with a baby makes everyday blog worthy.

My baby… my hearts song… my love!

I don't like bothering people with the negative aspects of my life. I am a problem solver. I fix things for people. Its hard for me to let people into my heart. I keep things bottled in… deep down under all the other stuff going on in my life. I do however, on occasion, just start blurting out the heaviness of my soul to a select few. I do feel bad… It seems these days all I do is pile on the complaints.

It is just hard to be happy. You know the expression, "when it rains it pours"… well I have a new one… "my soul has been replaces with tar and I am sinking in shit."

Why is talking about depression taboo? Especially in the Christian community. Someone admits to have fallen into depression and suddenly they have fellow church members saying annoying things like… "its cause your living in sin" "turn your life back to Jesus" "you need to live in the word" "You need to be born again" "Get plugged into a small group"

But you see… I love my Jesus, I talk to Him and He talks to me.

Well…

My name is Sarah

I am depressed.

Now what? Its just complicated…

I am too tired to try to please everyone else.

I wish I could rewind his heart to the man he was 3 years ago and press play

Rent money

Lack of Sleep

Lack of fun

He is just un interested in general.

The dynamics of us have changed but he hates change

… my heart is made up…

….I don't want to talk about it anymore…

SO….

I had an appointment at Lake College… I am going into Nursing… yea me!!!! I am excited!!!

He has been working on it for a few days now and just about had it last night… but this morning he mastered it! I am so proud!!!
